Assistant to the Treasurer / PayrollPosition: Assistant to the Treasurer / Payroll (full-time, 260-day contract)Minimum Requirements:Associates degree in finance/accounting or equivalent work experience preferredExperience in payroll processing and governmental fiscal procedures, preferredProficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and State Software (USAS, USPS)Documented evidence of a clear criminal record.Detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skillsDemonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with administration and staffAbility to collaborate with others while maintaining confidentialityForward thinker who continuously seeks ways to improve accuracy and efficiencyAbility to prioritize workload to meet periods of peak demandEssential Responsibilities, including but not limited to:Assist the Treasurer in all phases of school accounting procedures including but not limited to:Payroll, Accounts Payable/Receivable, bank reconciliations, daily banking and reporting.Prepare accurate semi-monthly payroll for the districtComplete all necessary tax reporting as well as all required monthly, quarterly and annual payroll reportsLiaison between staff and third-party administrator of insurance and annuity (403b/457) programsAdditional duties as assigned by TreasurerSalary: Placement on salary schedule based upon education and experiencePersons wishing to be considered for this position should submit an application, a letter of interest and an updated resume to Anne Arnold, Treasurer/CFO, at no later than October 9, 2026.FILING DEADLINE: October 9, 2026 (or until position is filled)START DATE: Estimated October 26, 2026 – Selected candidate will work with the current Assistant Treasurer until her retirement February 1, 2027Additional Information The Gibsonburg School District is a small progressive school district located 20 miles southeast of Toledo, Ohio, and 15 miles east of Bowling Green, Ohio.
