Overview
nThe Associate Accountant position will support the Agency’s accounts receivable functions and monthly accounting responsibilities, including account analysis, billing issue resolution, journal entries, and reconciliations. The position will also support monthly accounting and billing activities for the Self-Direction program and maintain rent, utility, lease, and housing subsidy information for the Customized Residential Operations (CRO) program. nPay for this position: $24.86 / hr - $26.68 / hr
nThe salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above range represents the organization's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting
nResponsibilities
nnnSupport the A/R Manager with account analysis, monthly account reconciliations, report filing, and follow-up related to billing issues.
n
nnFollow up on and resolve accounts receivable billing issues and errors.
n
nnCreate monthly account journal entries as directed by the Accounts Receivable Manager.
n
nnDeposit checks twice each week through physical scanner.
n
nnPrepare monthly cash receipt journal entries.
n
nnProcess credit card payments as needed.
n
nnAssist with maintaining eVero and Millin to support accurate billing for self-directed participants.
n
nnAssist with the creation of new Self-Direction vendors.
n
nnOversee the Paid Neighbor process for the Agency.
n
nnComplete monthly Self-Direction accounting responsibilities, including revenue entries and reclasses for designated budget expense categories.
n
nnMaintain the amortization of Self-Direction prepaid expenses.
n
nnAssist with reviewing Self-Direction payable batches integrated with the accounting software.
n
nnCalculate rental amounts for annual lease updates for CRO homes.
n
nnMaintain the CRO rent and utility worksheet for billing and invoicing purposes.
n
nnPrepare and file the Agency’s fuel tax returns.
n
nnAssist with audits and other tasks for the Resident Accounts team.
n
nnAssist with special projects to identify and improve revenue streams and reporting.
n
nnProvide backup support for other accounts receivable team members during vacations or other absences.
n
n nQualifications
nnnAssociate’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
n
nnDetail oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills.
n
nnTeam player with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multiple departments.
n
nnExcellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, advanced Microsoft Excel, and a working knowledge of Great Plains.
