Job description
Full Time
DC Metro / Virginia, Hybrid
Manager / experienced individual contributor
About Global AI Fund
Global AI Fund builds and operates AI-enabled businesses at the intersection of cloud computing, ecommerce, investment, advertising, and automation.
We are building an internal AI-powered marketing and content platform that generates, manages, distributes, measures, and improves content and advertising across LinkedIn, Google, Meta, WordPress, HubSpot, and other channels.
We are looking for someone who can own the operation of this system , not simply use marketing tools.
The Role
The AI Marketing Automation & Campaign Operations Manager will own the day-to-day execution and continuous improvement of our automated marketing, advertising, content, and lead-generation infrastructure.
You will work across paid media, generative AI, CMS operations, CRM workflows, APIs, analytics, and AWS-based automation.
This is a hands-on operating role. You will be expected to take campaigns and workflows from idea through implementation, testing, launch, measurement, optimization, and documentation.
You will work with engineers when engineering is required, but you should be capable of investigating problems yourself, understanding how systems connect, testing integrations, reading technical documentation, and determining whether something actually works.
This is not a traditional social-media-manager or content-coordinator position.
What You Will Own
AI Content & CMS Operations
Operate and improve our AI-powered content workflow, including:
Generating and evaluating content using Amazon Bedrock and other LLMs
Managing prompts, templates, brand instructions, content metadata, and approvals
Coordinating content from generation through storage, approval, distribution, and publication
Managing publication to WordPress, LinkedIn, Google, Meta, and other channels
Creating structured testing workflows for copy, creative, landing pages, and offers
Maintaining quality control so automated output is accurate, useful, on-brand, and appropriate for each platform
Paid Advertising
Own campaign execution across platforms including:
Google Ads
LinkedIn Ads
Meta Ads
Amazon Ads where applicable
Responsibilities include campaign setup, audiences, keywords, budgets, bidding, creative testing, conversion tracking, reporting, and optimization.
You should be comfortable being accountable for business results—not merely reporting impressions and clicks.
Marketing Automation & Integrations
Work with our technical team to operate and improve workflows connecting systems including:
HubSpot
Meta
WordPress
Amazon Web Services
Internal CMS and content systems
You will diagnose failed workflows, expired credentials, publishing failures, data synchronization issues, attribution problems, and other operational problems.
You do not need to be a full-time software engineer, but you must be technically capable and willing to learn.
Experience working with APIs, webhooks, JSON, SQL, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Lambda, or similar technologies is highly valued.
Lead Generation & CRM
Own the operational connection between marketing activity and the sales pipeline.
This includes:
Capturing and routing leads into HubSpot
Maintaining campaign and source attribution
Synchronizing lead-generation activity from advertising and social platforms
Creating audiences and remarketing workflows
Measuring lead quality, conversion, CAC, pipeline creation, and revenue
Identifying where leads or opportunities are being lost in the funnel
Measurement & Optimization
Build a clear view of what is working.
You should be comfortable working with:
ROAS, CAC, CPA, CPC, CPM, CTR, CVR, LTV, contribution margin, pipeline value, revenue attribution, and payback period.
You will be expected to use these measures to make recommendations and then implement those recommendations.
Reporting without action is not sufficient.
What Success Looks Like
Within your first 30–90 days, we expect you to be able to:
Understand and document our existing CMS and marketing automation architecture
Independently operate our publishing and campaign workflows
Launch and manage campaigns across our principal advertising platforms
Establish reliable campaign tracking and reporting
Keep HubSpot synchronized with marketing and lead-generation activities
Identify broken or inefficient workflows and drive them through resolution
Establish a repeatable A/B testing process for messaging, creative, audiences, and landing pages
Increase the proportion of routine campaign and content operations handled through automation
Produce a clear weekly assessment of what happened, what worked, what failed, and what should happen next
Required Qualifications
We care considerably more about demonstrated execution than credentials.
You should have:
3+ years of relevant experience in performance marketing, growth operations, marketing automation, advertising operations, ecommerce, or a closely related field
Hands-on experience operating at least two major advertising platforms
Experience managing real advertising budgets and optimizing campaigns based on performance
Strong understanding of digital advertising economics and attribution
Experience with a CRM such as HubSpot
Practical experience using generative AI in a professional workflow
Strong spreadsheet and analytical skills
Excellent written English and strong attention to detail
Ability to independently investigate unfamiliar technical systems and documentation
Evidence that you can take responsibility for a deliverable and finish it
Strongly Preferred
Experience with several of the following would make you particularly well suited:
Amazon Bedrock
AWS Lambda
APIs and webhooks
HubSpot APIs or workflows
LinkedIn Marketing APIs
Google Ads API
Meta Marketing API
WordPress APIs
Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or SQL
Canva or programmatic creative-generation workflows
Amazon Ads or Amazon Marketplace
Ecommerce
B2B lead generation
AI agents or agentic workflows
Automated content publishing
LLM evaluation and prompt management
AWS certification is useful but not required. We value demonstrated ability more highly than certification alone.
How We Work
This role requires a high degree of independence.
We expect people on our team to:
Show up prepared and on time
Respond reliably during agreed working hours
Communicate early when something is blocked
Keep commitments or renegotiate them before a deadline is missed
Test work before declaring it complete
Document important systems and decisions
Follow through without repeated prompting
Ask for help when necessary, but first make a serious attempt to understand the problem
Treat colleagues, partners, customers, and vendors professionally
A task is not complete because an email was sent, a campaign was created, or code was deployed. It is complete when the intended business outcome has been verified.
Who Will Do Well Here
You will probably enjoy this role if you see a failed integration, underperforming campaign, or cumbersome manual process and immediately want to understand why it is happening and how to fix it .
You are comfortable moving between a campaign dashboard, HubSpot, an AWS console, API documentation, a spreadsheet, an AI prompt, and a conversation with an engineer.
You don’t need someone to turn every objective into a checklist for you.
You probably will not enjoy this role if you want a position focused primarily on posting social content, producing marketing copy, attending meetings, or waiting for assignments.
