Associate Attorney - First-Party Property Insurance Litigation
New York City, NY | Hybrid Working Available
Are you a motivated litigation attorney looking to advance your career with a nationally recognized insurance litigation practice? We are seeking an Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience in first-party property insurance and litigation to join a dynamic and growing team in New York City. As part of a highly respected litigation practice, you will handle sophisticated first-party property insurance matters and work closely with experienced attorneys on all stages of litigation.
Key responsibilities include:
Evaluating and analyzing insurance claims
Conducting legal research and case analysis
Drafting pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents
Managing discovery and document review
Taking and defending depositions
Attending court hearings and proceedings
Assisting with coverage analysis and dispute resolution
Collaborating with clients and colleagues on case strategy
The ideal candidate will possess:
2-5 years of experience in first-party property insurance and litigation
1800 billable hours
Strong litigation and case management skills
Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical abilities
Outstanding oral advocacy and communication skills
A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
The drive to learn, develop, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Licensed to practice in New York
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range:
$170,000 - $190,000 plus bonus and benefits
Hybrid Working
This position offers a flexible hybrid working model. Associates are expected to work at least two days per week in the New York City office , with the opportunity to work remotely for the remainder of the week.
