Job description
Our firm is growing, and we're looking for an empathetic, experienced personal injury attorney to help clients find justice and compensation for their injuries. You'll handle the case file from start to finish with support from our team of highly skilled legal professionals. You should have excellent credentials, a minimum of 2 years of successful personal injury experience, and an authentic passion for helping people. If this sounds like you, apply today! Compensation:
$90,000 - $120,000 + bonus DOE
Responsibilities:
* Perform research on case law and premises liability, and gather insurance policies, medical expenses, medical records, and other evidence relevant to the case
* Interview clients, supporting witnesses, expert witnesses, insurance company adjusters, and medical providers to collect information
* Negotiate suitable agreements and settle on the clients' behalf when appropriate
* Draft, review, and modify claims, motions, discovery responses, demand letters, pleadings, subpoenas, memorandums, and other legal documents
* Assess potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients accordingly
* Handle personal injury case files from start to finish
Qualifications:
* State license to practice law and State Bar Association membership is mandatory
* Proficiency in computers is vital
* Superior research, negotiation, drafting, and communication skills are highly valued
* A good understanding of personal injury law/ tort law, medical terminology, wrongful death, civil and family law, and medical malpractice is desired
* A JD degree and Florida bar admission, with no disciplinary or malpractice history
* Two years of legal experience
* A genuine interest in the personal injury field
* A Self-starter driven by long-term career goals
* Superior oral and written advocacy skills
