Job Overview
A law firm seeks a highly motivated Business/Litigation Construction Associate to join its office in Austin, Texas. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of litigation experience and a strong background in construction law and business litigation.
Duties
Collaborate and work independently on complex design/construction projects.
Participate in depositions, trials, and arbitration examinations.
Manage high-level technical experts and complex arbitration processes.
Draft and review pleadings, discovery, and briefs.
Interpret statutes, court rulings, and regulations for legal analysis.
Document file activity per firm and client policies.
Communicate responsively with clients to maintain relationships.
Requirements
Experience in construction law and/or business litigation preferred.
Complex arbitration and contract drafting experience a plus.
Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) beneficial.
Prior experience in federal and state courts as counsel or law clerk preferred.
Strong legal research, analysis, and writing skills required.
Education
Strong academic credentials required.
Certifications
Bar admission in Texas preferred.
Skills
Proficiency in legal software and internal operations.
