nGENERAL FUNCTION
nThe Associate Relationship Manager (ARM) partners with Relationship Managers (RMs) to support sales and servicing efforts, perform financial and risk analyses, and assist in developing client solutions. This role is designed to grow through tailored training and hands-on experience, progressing from foundational support tasks to more advanced client engagement and business development responsibilities.
nARMs are expected to demonstrate proficient financial and risk analysis capabilities, along with sales and business development acumen Critical thinking and effective prioritization are essential, especially when supporting multiple Relationship Managers or other internal partners. At the core of the ARM role is a commitment to continuous learning and progressive skill development. This includes gaining a deep understanding of the bank’s products and services, building sales and client engagement competencies, identifying new revenue opportunities through prospecting, applying consultative selling strategies, and advancing proposals through the sales cycle.
nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
nSales & Client Support:
nnnPartner with RMs to support sales and servicing activities.
n
nnAssist in identifying and qualifying prospects through industry and client research.
n
nnCreate and maintain client management records in iris, including client profiles and opportunity pipelines.
n
nnPrepare and contribute to client presentations and proposals.
n
nnAttend and actively participate in client meetings and presentations.
n
nnCollect and input KYC due diligence information.
n
nnConduct initial pricing analysis and generate relationship pricing models.
n
nnDraft initial deal screens and opportunity memos.
n
n nBusiness Development
nnnEngage in direct client contact to support relationship development.
n
nnIdentify new business opportunities and apply consultative selling strategies.
n
nnConduct initial outreach to prospective clients and facilitate introductions to Relationship Managers.
n
nnSupport Relationship Managers in the negotiation, advancement and closure of proposals.

n nLearning & Development
nThe ARM role is guided by a curated learning curriculum and skill development pathway, which includes:
nnnStructured onboarding and training in commercial banking solutions.
n
nnAccess to internal learning platforms in finance, credit analysis, and relationship management.
n
nnCoordinated access to experienced Relationship Managers and senior leaders who serve as trained coaches, providing guidance and support for professional development.
n
nnOpportunities to participate in cross-functional projects and client engagements.
n
nnRegular performance feedback and career planning discussions.

nMINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
nnnBachelor’s degree in Business (e.g., Finance, Accounting, Business Administration), Liberal Arts or equivalent work experience preferred.
n
nn1–2+ years of experience in commercial banking, financial services or client-facing sales rolee, or accounting.
n
nnNovice to proficient knowledge of:

nnFinancial and credit risk analysis
n
nnU.S. economy and regulatory environment
n
nnSales and business development practices
n
nnCommercial lending practices and corporate legal structures
n
nnUnderstanding of local/regional market dynamics preferred.
n
nnStrong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation and presentation abilities.
n
nnEffective problem-solving and analytical skills; self-driven with demonstrated ability to take ownership of multiple priorities.
n
nnProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
n
n nWORKING CONDITIONS
nnnStandard office environment with minimal exposure to noise, dust, or temperature variations.
n
nnMinimal travel required.

nThe base salary for this position is reflective of the range of salary levels for all roles within this pay grade across the U.S. Individual salaries within this range will vary based on factors such as role, relevant skillset, relevant experience, education and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan, with any such payment based upon company, line of business and/or individual performance.
