Job OverviewA law firm seeks a highly qualified Associate with a minimum of 2 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions to join their team in Chicago, IL. The successful candidate will work within the Mergers & Acquisitions/Private Equity practice, contributing to a diverse range of transactions and client engagements.
Duties
Assist in the execution of mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions.
Provide strategic advice and support to clients on complex deals.
Collaborate with a team of legal professionals to meet client objectives.
Conduct due diligence and prepare transaction documentation.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions and private equity.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
Admission to the state bar in Illinois or eligibility to waive in.
Skills
Proficiency in legal research and writing.
Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
