nOffice Location: 14760 Trinity Blvd, Fort Worth, TX 76155
nSchedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
nGeneral Purpose
nUnder direction, provide cost accounting services, often for smaller or less complex plants or areas, by monitoring, analyzing and providing monthly cost updates. Assist in conducting studies of material, labor, or other expenses to determine production costs, cost of sales, or other cost-related performance measures. Look for changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, rate schedules, or services provided to determine effects on costs. Provide cost-related data in support of business decisions or for use in financial reporting.
nJob Duties and Responsibilities
nnnCapture and classify cost data to determine the cost associated with products/product lines, projects, or departments
n
nnCompare actual costs to historical or projected costs and report on variances
n
nnPrepare, analyze, and track monthly inventory reserves, material savings, inventory forecast, and standard margin variances
n
nnMonitor purchase price variances and provide monthly analysis of production variances
n
nnGather system reports and information from appropriate groups needed to complete governmental reporting and/or other reports (e.g., Market Administrator)
n
nnPrepare timely and accurate monthly standard costs and perform monthly cost rolls for finished products manufactured and purchased along with cost change analysis
n
nnProvide accounts payable cost verifications; conduct and analyze audits of costs and prepare reports
n
nnAccurately set up new finished goods items and Bill of Material (BOM) components
n
nnInitiate and execute changes to BOMs and Bills of Operations
n
nnAssist in preparing cost studies for existing and new items
n
nnPrepare monthly KPI metrics report
n
nnPrepare month end journal entries as requested
n
nnAssist with requests required for external and internal audits
n
nnAssist with preparation of annual budget
n
nnAssist in preparing estimates of new or proposed product costs
n
nnMay participate in or oversee regular inventory cycle counts
n

n nRequirements
nEducation and Experience
nnnUndergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or related curriculum (or equivalent combination of education and experience
n
nn0 to 2 years’ experience in accounting, cost accounting, or finance
n
nnSAP experience preferred
n
nnManufacturing experience preferred
n
nnCertification and/or License – CPA preferred
n
n nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities
nnnKnowledge of cost accounting methods
n
nnAble to apply generally accepted accounting principles and use and knowledge of accounting, manufacturing and spreadsheet software (SAP or equivalent ERP software)
n
nnAble to apply financial acumen skills: understand the financial framework of the company and use financial processes and metrics to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the company
n
nnAble to provide accurate, thorough and timely analyses
n
nnAble to apply a strong attention to detail
n
nnAble to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
n
nnAble to work independently on projects after detailed explanation of the desired results
n
nnAble to take ownership for assigned work and see through to completion

nnAble to multi-task

nnMust be able to read, write and speak English
