Job description
JCW Group has partnered with a leading regional commercial bank to hire an Associate Director of Compliance Audit who will own compliance audit coverage end to end. In this role, you will lead audits from planning through reporting while managing and developing a team of auditors. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a regulatory compliance audit background in banking looking to step into a leadership seat with direct exposure to senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the execution of the assigned area of the annual audit plan, ensuring audits are risk based, appropriately resourced, and completed within cycle.
Evaluate processes and internal controls for adherence to policy and compliance with federal and state regulations, and finalize root cause analysis on all identified issues.
Draft and present audit reports that clearly communicate risk to senior leadership, then work with management to develop and monitor effective action plans.
Hire, coach, and develop a team of audit professionals, overseeing day to day activity with support from the audit project managers.
Qualifications
8 or more years of experience in internal audit, risk management, or regulatory compliance, with a bachelor's degree required.
Active CAMS certification required.
Working knowledge of internal control and risk assessment methodology, including COSO, IIA standards, and FRB Supervisory Letter 13-1.
Previous leadership experience, with strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting to senior stakeholders.
