Job Description

The Associate Director, Treasury is a strategic finance leader responsible for advancing the organization’s treasury capabilities and supporting enterprise financial objectives. This role partners with senior leadership to develop and implement strategies related to treasury operations, liquidity management, cash optimization, financial risk management, banking relationships, and transformation initiatives. The Associate Director leads cross‑functional efforts to improve treasury processes, enhance financial flexibility, strengthen governance, and create scalable solutions that support the organization’s growth and evolving business needs.

Job Description

The Associate Director, Treasury is a strategic finance leader responsible for advancing the organization’s treasury capabilities and supporting enterprise financial objectives. This role partners with senior leadership to develop and implement strategies related to treasury operations, liquidity management, cash optimization, financial risk management, banking relationships, and transformation initiatives. The Associate Director leads cross‑functional efforts to improve treasury processes, enhance financial flexibility, strengthen governance, and create scalable solutions that support the organization’s growth and evolving business needs.

Responsibilities

Treasury Strategy & Liquidity Management

Develop and execute treasury strategies that support liquidity, capital structure, and cash management objectives.

Lead Global cash flow forecasting processes (13 week and full year) and drive enhancements to forecasting accuracy and visibility.

Identify and implement opportunities to improve working capital performance and cash utilization.

Monitor liquidity trends and provide strategic recommendations to Finance leadership.

Financial Risk Management

Lead the development of foreign exchange hedging strategies and governance frameworks.

Evaluate and recommend interest rate risk mitigation strategies.

Develop treasury policies and procedures related to risk management activities and partner with internal audit on compliance with policies.

Provide market insights and recommendations regarding treasury risks and opportunities.

Treasury Transformation & Optimization

Lead treasury transformation initiatives focused on process efficiency, automation, standardization, and scalability.

Direct treasury workstation evaluation, selection, implementation, and optimization efforts.

Establish best practices and governance frameworks across treasury activities.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen treasury operations and controls.

Global Banking & Cash Management

Lead bank account rationalization and banking structure optimization initiatives.

Evaluate and implement cash pooling and liquidity concentration opportunities.

Conduct trapped cash assessments and develop strategies to improve cash accessibility globally.

Partner with banking institutions to support Treasury objectives and strategic initiatives i.e. commercial credit card and treasury functions

Strategic Finance Initiatives

Support financing activities, capital structure initiatives, and corporate development projects.

Provide treasury leadership for acquisitions, integrations, and major business transformation efforts.

Develop executive‑level presentations, business cases, financial analyses, and recommendations.

Lead cross‑functional projects supporting Treasury and broader Finance objectives.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

Partner effectively with Accounting, FP&A, Tax, AP, AR, Legal, Procurement, IT, and Operations leaders.

Lead and influence cross‑functional teams to deliver strategic treasury initiatives.

Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on treasury and liquidity matters.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required; MBA preferred.

10+ years of progressive Treasury, Corporate Finance, Cash Management, or related experience.

Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation preferred.

Demonstrated experience leading FX hedging, interest rate risk management, banking optimization, and liquidity management initiatives.

Experience leading treasury transformation projects and treasury technology implementations.

Strong knowledge of global cash management, working capital, banking structures, and treasury operations.

Proven ability to influence senior leadership and lead complex cross‑functional projects.

Strong analytical, financial modeling, communication, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Treasury Management Systems (TMS) and treasury workstation implementations.

Experience leading cash pooling, trapped cash reduction, or global bank rationalization initiatives.

Experience in multinational organizations with complex treasury structures.

Experience supporting M&A transactions, integrations, and treasury transformation programs.

Familiarity with Oracle, Hubble, Planful, Spotlight, or similar finance and treasury platforms.
