Associate Housekeeper Support ServicesJoin a dedicated Support Services team focused on maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within a regional healthcare facility in the Midwest. This role involves performing essential housekeeping duties such as applying a seven-step cleaning process to ensure optimal cleanliness and safety of assigned areas, including dusting, sanitizing, waste removal, bathroom cleaning, floor care, and room inspections. Additional responsibilities include replenishing room supplies, making beds, and performing dismissal cleaning. The position also involves delivering supplies and medical records to satellite locations. In the laundry and pack room, you will sort, dry, iron, fold, pack, and distribute linens while maintaining cleanliness and conducting inventories. You will inspect surgical linens, mend or stamp linens as needed, perform liquid barrier tests, and pack components according to case specifications. Maintaining equipment cleanliness and reporting repairs promptly is essential.Education and Experience:- Completion of eighth grade is required. - High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred. - Previous related experience is a plus.Requirements and Skills:- Ability to follow departmental policies, procedures, and standards. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance. - Excellent hospitality skills with a courteous and respectful approach to patients, visitors, and staff. - Ability to work collaboratively within a team, demonstrating initiative and supporting peers. - Knowledge and application of safety, infection control, emergency preparedness, and hazardous communication policies. - Effective communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, maintaining professionalism at all times. This full-time position operates on the second shift with rotating weekend hours, offering a supportive work environment in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest.
