Optum has an immediate opening for a friendly, patient focused and detailed oriented Associate Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. The Associate Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for the completion of set processes and protocols. Works cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, deliver excellent customer service and adhere to Lean processes. Supports the teams in meeting financial, clinical and service goals.

Location (Full-Time Onsite): 11204 Davenport Street, Suite 200, Omaha NE 68154

/n

Schedule: This is a 40-hour week, 8-hour shift schedule, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 am to 5:00 pm CST. The schedule will be determined by the manager upon hire.

/n

Primary Responsibilities:

/n

/n

- Provide reception and clerical support in the clinic's front office

/n

- Ensure all locations are welcoming and adhere to brand guidelines

/n

- Manage office supplies, facility management and upkeep

/n

- Support multiple facilities as needed

/n

- Support patient safety as part of care team

/n

- Support facility physical safety preparedness training efforts

/n

- Manage site-specific initiatives including maintenance of education, adherence to policies and accreditation

/n requirements as needed

/n

- New client registration and scheduling

/n

- Assist patients with the check-in and check-out process; review each patient's chart prior to appointment and

/n ensure consents and insurance verification are complete

/n

- Collect and upload insurance cards and identification

/n

- Assist with onboarding new patients, help patient's access patient portal, prepare and confirm completion of

/n paperwork.

/n

- Ensure consents and insurance verification are complete

- Prior authorization request management as applicable

/n

- Triage patient question, complaints and concerns

/n

- Answer incoming calls and return voicemails timely

/n

- Respond to center outreach and triage incoming requests to appropriate departments

/n

- Assist in updating and/or schedule existing patient appointments and internal referrals with providers

/n

- Assist in transition of care and/or discharge procedures as applicable

/n

- Manage medical record requests and responses timely

/n

- Manage insurance audits as applicable

/n

- Respond to in-person inquiries across the center and triage appropriately

/n

- Process payments for co-pays, deductibles, self-pay, etc.

/n

- Collect patient balances including co-insurance post adjudication

/n

- Ensure patient inquiries are addressed quickly; including resolving patient insurance eligibility issues

/n

- Monitor clinician/admin/OBC inbox and respond accordingly within established guidelines.

/n

- Secure patient information and maintain patient confidentiality

/n

- Ability to assist with organizing and cleaning office

/n

- Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

/n

/n

- High School Diploma/GED

/n

- 1+ years of customer service or healthcare related experience

/n

- Intermediate level of computer proficiency experience (multi-tasking through multiple applications including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word)

/n

/n

Preferred Qualifications:

/n

/n

- Experience working with an electronic health record

/n

- Knowledge of medical terminology

/n
