Job description

Foot & Ankle Specialists of Illinois is excited to welcome a motivated, well-trained, well-rounded, and personable Associate Podiatrist / Foot & Ankle Surgeon to our modern, established, physician-led private practice in Algonquin, Illinois, approximately 40 miles northwest of Chicago.

We are especially interested in a physician who has already developed a strong clinical foundation and is ready to join an established private practice where they can build something lasting. This opportunity is ideally suited for a surgically trained DPM with two or more years of post-residency clinical experience who is looking for a true long-term practice opportunity - not simply a short-term first job.

The right associate will have the opportunity to build a meaningful surgical and full-scope podiatry practice with clinical autonomy, strong operational support, direct access to ownership, mentorship, and long-term professional and income growth. Strong recent graduates may be considered if they demonstrate maturity, clinical confidence, coachability, and clear alignment with private practice growth.

Why Join FASI

Physician-led private practice environment with clinical autonomy and direct access to ownership

Modern, established practice with a strong patient base and consistent demand for foot and ankle care

Opportunity to build a meaningful full-scope practice, including surgical volume, within an independent private practice setting

Clear opportunity to grow professionally, clinically, and financially within the practice

One primary clinical location with no multi-site complexity

Supportive clinical team, streamlined operations, and mentorship for the right associate

Efficient workflows using Modernizing Medicine

Clinical Opportunity

Full-scope podiatry, including surgery, sports medicine, wound care, diabetic foot care, DME, orthotics, routine foot care, and general foot and ankle care

Opportunity to grow surgical case volume as the practice continues to expand

Access to an established patient base with room to build additional referral relationships

Opportunity to treat patients across all age groups and a wide range of foot and ankle conditions

Evidence-based approach using conservative and/or surgical treatment when medically appropriate

Autonomy to develop subspecialty interests over time

Ideal Candidate

Ideally has two or more years of post-residency clinical experience and is ready to grow within a long-term private practice opportunity

Surgically trained, with rearfoot and ankle training preferred

Well-rounded clinically and appreciative of all aspects of podiatric care

Comfortable with surgical, medical, wound care, diabetic foot care, sports medicine, DME, orthotics, nail/skin/dermatologic conditions, and routine podiatric care

Coachable, confident, professional, and team-oriented

Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills

Strong communication skills with patients, staff, referring providers, and leadership

Committed to patient-centered care, accurate documentation, and long-term practice growth

Education and Experience

Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine from an accredited school of podiatry

Completion of an accredited podiatric residency program

Current active license as a Podiatrist in the State of Illinois, or ability to obtain Illinois licensure promptly

Two or more years of post-residency clinical experience strongly preferred

Strong recent graduates may be considered if they demonstrate maturity, clinical confidence, coachability, and clear long-term alignment with private practice growth

Compensation and Benefits

Competitive physician compensation package

Six figure base and lucrative bonus plan

Uncapped collections-based incentive model for a productive associate

Tiered bonus structure tied to productivity, growth, practice contribution, and surgical volume

Compensation structure designed to provide income stability while rewarding long-term practice growth and high performance

Long-term partnership potential for the right candidate based on fit, performance, leadership, and alignment with the practice's vision

Health insurance, dental insurance, and 401(k)

Paid time off and holidays

Supportive onboarding and operational support

Location
