Job description
Vista Equity Partners is looking for a Private Equity Associate in Chicago. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in evaluating and executing software investments. You’ll work closely with portfolio companies and learn from experienced professionals in a structured training environment.
What You’ll Do
Evaluate investment opportunities and conduct due diligence
Develop financial models to assess company performance
Prepare analyses and recommendations for investment discussions
Support transaction execution across various workstreams
Monitor portfolio company performance and key business drivers
Collaborate with management teams on strategic priorities
What You Need
Completed undergraduate degree in 2025 or earlier
2+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or related fields
Strong financial modeling skills
Interest in enterprise software and technology trends
Ability to work independently and in a team
