Job Title
The duties include designing, developing, and teaching executive courses on alliance management, security partnerships, coalition integration, and interoperability. Topics covered will include defense diplomacy, burden sharing, and Indo-Pacific security architecture.
Additionally, the role involves examining how bilateral, minilateral, and multinational alliances generate capability, strengthen deterrence, enable collective defense, and contribute to Indo-Pacific regional security.
The position also requires developing educational programs to help security practitioners overcome political, institutional, and operational challenges when building and sustaining effective alliances and coalitions.
Responsibilities include leading and supporting Center activities such as executive courses, workshops, policy dialogues, senior-leader engagements, strategic visits, and international partnerships.
The role will also involve serving as an action officer responsible for planning, executing, and assessing courses, workshops, strategic dialogues, and regional engagements from concept to completion.
Curriculum development, instructional materials, case studies, simulations, and experiential-learning activities tailored for diverse civilian and military audiences are part of the duties.
Teaching and facilitating seminars and collaborative learning sessions among security practitioners from across the Indo-Pacific region are also required.
Conducting research and publishing policy-relevant work on alliances, partnerships, coalition integration, burden sharing, interoperability, and regional security architecture is another responsibility.
Engaging allied and partner governments, defense institutions, academia, and regional stakeholders to strengthen networks and deepen collective security cooperation is also part of the role.
Maintaining deep regional expertise to support executive education, strategic initiatives, academic partnerships, and public outreach is necessary.
Collaborating across departments to integrate partnership perspectives into programming on strategic deterrence, force posture, security cooperation, and resilience is also required.
Mentoring Fellows, contributing directly to their professional and intellectual development, and supporting the administration and institutional growth of the College are part of the duties.
Traveling internationally to support DKI APCSS programs, maintaining professional, respectful, and collegial relationships with leadership, staff, and regional partners is also required.
