Job description
Technician, Repair-CleanerThe purpose of this job is to serve as a detailer and to clean rental instruments and prepare them to return to stock in the refurbishment process for woodwind and percussion instruments.Duty or ResponsibilityResponsible for detailing and cleaning quality instruments in a timely matter based on established production standards.Responsible for turning in accurate production reports on a daily basisResponsible for reporting QC rejects on a daily basisResponsible for performing general warehousing and distribution tasks as needed when not in operating in a detailer capacity.Additional duties as assigned.Minimum RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED required.Apprenticeship or a diploma for an accredited repair school is requiredMust be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.Entry level; zero years of relevant work experience requiredNovice proficiency with mechanical tools used for instrument cleaning and repairNovice proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Special Attributes:Good mechanical aptitudeAbility to operate in a professional manner under changing conditions and demandsDetail orientedAbility to learn how to use standard repair shop tooling and equipment
