Job description
Role: Protein Reagents Scientist supporting therapeutic protein programs through purification and biochemical characterization of proteins and antibodies in a fast-paced, collaborative laboratory setting.
Responsibilities
perform affinity, ion-exchange, hydrophobic interaction, and size-exclusion chromatography
characterize proteins via Western blot, SDS-PAGE, SEC, and spectrophotometry
document and analyze data using Benchling
communicate results effectively to cross-functional teams
Requirements
Bachelor's degree with 2+ years or Master's in biology, biochemistry, or related field
proficiency in protein characterization techniques
strong foundation in protein chemistry
excellent communication and documentation skills
proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities
Preferred
experience operating ÄKTA or comparable chromatography systems
familiarity with method development and troubleshooting
proficiency with data analysis tools (Excel, GraphPad)
experience preparing technical presentations
familiarity with chromatography hardware and ELN systems
