Job description
Founding Veterinarian — Clifton, NJ We are working on behalf of a growing primary care practice in Clifton, NJ that is opening its first US clinic and looking to welcome an Associate Veterinarian to its founding team (with equity available!).
This is a membership based practice built around preventive medicine, continuity of care, and removing the cost barriers that so often stand between pets and the treatment they need. Because members pay a flat monthly fee rather than per visit, families come in earlier and more often, which means you get to practice thoughtful, proactive medicine and build genuine relationships with your patients over time. The model is already well established internationally, so you get the ground floor energy of a first US clinic with the reassurance of a proven approach behind it. You will work alongside senior clinical leadership to help shape how the practice delivers care in the US, manage your own caseload with real continuity, and help develop the clinical protocols the team grows into.
There is no emergency or overnight on-call work, and appointments are never rushed, with monthly membership capped so the team is not overloaded. Whether you are drawn to prevention-focused medicine, want a schedule that protects your time, or simply believe good care should be affordable, this is a chance to help build something meaningful from the very start. Both full-time and part-time arrangements are considered.

About You
DVM or VMD licensed, or eligible for licensure, in New Jersey
Ideally two or more years of clinical experience
Passionate about improving access to affordable veterinary care
Comfortable practicing pragmatic, evidence-based primary care medicine
A clear and compassionate communicator, in the clinic and over telehealth
Collaborative and adaptable, and excited to help build something new
Benefits
Competitive salary of $140,000 to $180,000, depending on experience and working pattern
