Associate Veterinarian (Companion Animal) – Amite City, LA
A veterinary practice is seeking a compassionate and motivated Associate Veterinarian to join its team. This opportunity is open to both recent graduates and experienced veterinarians and offers a supportive environment for developing clinical skills and providing high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and preventive care for companion animals.
Perform physical examinations, wellness evaluations, and vaccinations.
Diagnose and manage a variety of medical and surgical conditions.
Develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
Communicate diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care recommendations to clients.
Build strong relationships with clients and their pets.
Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff.
Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
Pursue and develop clinical interests based on professional goals.
Participate in ongoing learning and professional development.
Qualifications
DVM, VMD, or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary program.
Active or eligible veterinary license.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate approach to patient and client care.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
