Job description
An established, multi-doctor animal hospital in the Fredericksburg area is looking to welcome an Associate Veterinarian to its growing team.
This is a well-rounded GP position in a full-service hospital that handles routine appointments, surgery, dentistry, and same-day urgent cases during business hours, with the added bonus of exposure to exotic caseloads for anyone who enjoys seeing more than just cats and dogs. The hospital has built a strong reputation in its community for compassionate care, clear client communication, and a genuinely personal approach to medicine.
The practice itself offers a calm, welcoming environment and a broad clinical range, including preventive care, dentistry, soft-tissue surgery, ultrasound, laser therapy, grooming, and boarding. You would be joining an experienced team with long-standing leadership, licensed technician support, and doctors whose interests include preventive medicine, soft-tissue surgery, diagnostic imaging, emergency/urgent care, and exotic companion animal medicine. For a vet who enjoys collaborative case discussion and wants variety in their day, there is a lot here to get excited about.
This role would suit either an experienced veterinarian or a recent graduate who values genuine support. The team is keen to add someone who is collaborative, kind, and clinically motivated, and they are open to helping the right person grow through mentorship and encouragement.
