Associate Veterinarian – General Practice
Chicago Metro, Illinois
$120,000–$190,000 | Full-Time
Looking for a general practice where you can practice quality medicine, have a schedule that leaves room for life outside the hospital, and work with a team that genuinely supports your growth?
DVM Focus is recruiting an Associate Veterinarian for an established small animal practice in the Chicago metro area. This opportunity offers a diverse general practice caseload, collaborative veterinary support, mentorship, and flexibility for doctors at different stages of their careers.
New graduates and experienced veterinarians are both encouraged to explore the opportunity.
What You’ll Do
Your caseload may include:
Wellness and preventive medicine
General medical care
Diagnostic workups and case management
Routine surgery
Dentistry
Same-day sick visits
Client education and communication
Collaboration with veterinarians and support staff
You’ll have the opportunity to continue developing your medical and surgical skills while building long-term relationships with clients and their pets.
What They’re Looking For
DVM, VMD, or equivalent veterinary degree
Active Illinois veterinary license or ability to obtain one
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Collaborative, team-oriented approach to patient care
Commitment to compassionate, high-quality veterinary medicine
Interest in continued learning and professional development

Compensation & Benefits
Market-based compensation range: $120,000–$190,000 , depending on experience, qualifications, schedule, clinical skill set, and compensation structure.
