Visa Information

Position Description
The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC)Department of Internal Medicine in Amarillo is dedicated to patientcare, teaching at the resident and medical student levels andresearch. It's a strong and growing department with a closefaculty-resident/student interrelationship and a strong foundationin general internal medicine.
Major/Essential Functions
Provide Hospitalist Services at community hospital. Thisincludes patient admissions and patient care inclusive of patientrounds.
Perform medical examinations for all patients in accordancewith departmental expectations.
Monitor patients' conditions and progress and provide patienteducation and referrals as appropriate.
Complete timely and accurate patient medical records.
Participate in the training and mentoring of medical students,residents and fellows.
Required Qualifications
MD/DO or equivalent;
Completion of Residency in Internal Medicine;
Board certified, board eligible, or in the process of becomingboard eligible in Internal Medicine; and
Current TX medical license.
Foreign Medical Graduates Only: ECFMG Certification OREquivalency Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of inpatient experience.
