nVisa Information:

nTTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required. nPosition Description:

nThe Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) Department of Internal Medicine in Amarillo is dedicated to patient care, teaching at the resident and medical student levels and research. It's a strong and growing department with a close faculty-resident/student interrelationship and a strong foundation in general internal medicine.

nMajor/Essential Functions:

nnnProvide Hospitalist Services at community hospital. This includes patient admissions and patient care inclusive of patient rounds.

n

nnPerform medical examinations for all patients in accordance with departmental expectations.

n

nnMonitor patients' conditions and progress and provide patient education and referrals as appropriate.

n

nnComplete timely and accurate patient medical records.

n

nnParticipate in the training and mentoring of medical students, residents and fellows.

n

n nRequired Qualifications:

nnnMD/DO or equivalent;

n

nnCompletion of Residency in Internal Medicine;

n

nnBoard certified, board eligible, or in the process of becoming board eligible in Internal Medicine; and

n

nnCurrent TX medical license.

n

nnForeign Medical Graduates Only: ECFMG Certification OR Equivalency Certification.

n

n nPreferred Qualifications:

nn5+ years of inpatient experience.
