Position Overview
Assistant/Associate Professor - Pediatric Hospitalist, Department of Pediatrics, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Amarillo
Responsibilities
Examines patients, performs comprehensive physical examinations, compiles medical data.
Orders and interprets labs, diagnostic tests such as X‑ray, ECG, laboratory tests.
Prescribes medication, manages health/illness status of patients and families over time.
Instructs and counsels patients and family members regarding compliance with therapeutic regimens and health maintenance.
Provides supervision, mentoring, and teaching to residents and students.
Qualifications
MD, DO, or Foreign Equivalent degree.
Completion of USMLE Step 3 or in process of completing an ACGME‑accredited Pediatric Residency.
Board certified, board eligible, or in process of becoming board eligible in General Pediatrics, expected to maintain certification.
Experience with Electronic Health Records.

Travel required: up to 25%.
Pay grade: Salary commensurate with related education, experience, and/or skills. Monthly pay basis. Pay Grade Minimum and Maximum consistent with role.
