Responsibilities:
Accounting/audit experience with non-profit organizations
Collaborate with team members to develop and implement innovative solutions
Review engagements prior to partner review to ensure quality of the information
Consistently demonstrate ability to identify and properly account for technical issues on each assigned engagement
Conduct research and analysis to inform decision-making
Communicate effectively and directly with clients and stakeholders
Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
Prepare client billing both timely and efficiently for review by Practice Area Leader
Promote the most efficient firm operation by scheduling and managing firm professionals
Meet with prospective clients and assist in proposal preparation
Recognize opportunities to provide additional services to clients
Support staff, seniors and supervisors by providing feedback and coaching
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who have:
CPA certification
Bachelor’s and/or advanced degree in accounting
5-8 years assurance experience with non-profits in a CPA firm, with min. of 1-2 years’ experience as a Supervisor
Passionate about their work and eager to learn and grow
Membership in AICPA and NCACPA, as applicable
Proficiency in use of computers, accounting software programs and assurance software programs
Completion of career development CPE requirements designed to enhance management and communication skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Creative and innovative, with a strong desire to make a positive impact
Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Able to work collaboratively with others to achieve common goals
Valid driver’s license and good MVR
Essential Physical Requirements:
Fine hand manipulation in keyboarding 5-7 hours per day
Fine hand manipulation using calculator/adding machine 2-4 hours per day
Travel, as needed
