nPosition Summary:

nThe ATE – Auto Glass Technician is a full-time position that owns day-to-day service operations and must build a good rapport with customers to establish open lines of communication.

nThe position is responsible for repair, replacement, and installation of all vehicle glass. Position includes critical thinking/troubleshooting, ADAS calibrations for all makes/models, and a high sense of urgency to correlate with a high pace work environment.

nResponsibilities

n· Inspecting the condition of windshields and other auto glass to provide estimates of repair

n· Performing repairs on auto glass, including cutting away damaged areas and applying adhesives to hold new pieces in place

n· Communicating with insurance companies to obtain authorization for repairs and filing claims on their behalf

n· Measuring glass pieces to ensure they are cut to the right size and shape

n· Installing new windshields and other glass panels in vehicles, using tools such as a orange bat or extractor.

n· Applying a layer of glue to the interior surface of the windshield, and positioning it in the vehicle frame

n· Cleaning the interior surface of the windshield with a special solution to remove residue from the manufacturing process

n· Perform other related duties as assigned

nQualifications

nnn3 + years of automotive glass experience

n

nnOmega Glass system experience preferred

n

nnStrong technological skills, including but not limited to: Outlook, Teams, Word, etc.

n

nnExceptional communication skills, both verbal and written

n

nnContinuous learner seeking to develop new skills and expand knowledge for maximum career progression

n

nnMust be able to remain productive, with a great sense of urgency

n

nnMust be able to stand for long periods of time in automotive shop environments

n

nnEnergetic, high sense of urgency, motivated to produce, passion for the industry, and positive representation of the ATE brand

n

nnAbility to:

n

nnRead and understand factory and non-factory service information

n

nnProgram vehicles with factory or non-factory software

n

nnDiagnose, correct, and verify all customer vehicle concerns

n

nnExplain and properly communicate diagnosis both verbally and written formats

n

nnA safe driving record and a valid Driver’s License required

n

nnAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
