Job description
Athletic Event Security OfficerPosition available at Mathews High School. Compensation is $60 per athletic event. Required qualifications include being at least 21 years of age, successfully completing required school division training for the weapons detection system, demonstrating good judgment and the ability to remain calm during potentially stressful situations, possessing effective verbal and written communication skills, working professionally with students, staff, parents, spectators, officials, and law enforcement personnel, being dependable and punctual, being capable of standing and remaining attentive for extended periods, and following all Mathews County Public Schools policies, athletic event procedures, and security protocols. Must successfully complete any required background screening or other employment requirements established by the school division.
