Qualifications
Must possess New York State Certification as a School Attendance Teacher
Master's Degree in education or related field required
Experience as an Attendance Teacher and three years of teaching experience preferred
Duties Thoroughly investigate cases of absence or tardiness as requested by the Administration
Work with students, parents, school and agency personnel to resolve absences and provide needed support
Assist schools in keeping an accurate census of their pupils
Keep daily record of work done and prepare quarterly reports on attendance activities
Complete other duties as assigned by Administration
