Job description
Attendant Care Worker | BLS CertifiedJoin a compassionate team delivering community-based mental health support to children and adults in the Midwest region. As an Attendant Care Worker, you will provide essential services including mentoring, emotional support, life skills training, and personal care tailored to each client's needs. Your role involves maintaining timely and accurate documentation in line with organizational policies, fostering positive interactions, and collaborating closely with clinical staff to support individualized treatment plans.Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.Experience: Candidates must be at least 18 years old and three years older than the youth served. Preferred experience includes two years working with adults or children in health-related settings.Requirements: Current BLS/CPR certification from an approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation is mandatory. If driving is required, a valid driver's license and auto insurance meeting regional standards are necessary. Successful completion of background checks including KBI, DCF, child and adult abuse registries, and motor vehicle screenings is required. Strong organizational and basic computer skills are essential. The position involves light physical activity, occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds and standing or walking 11-25% of the day.
