Attendant Care Worker - LPTCMcconnell Afb, KS $28,009 - $37,099 a yearJob Type: Full TimeThe Attendant Care Worker provides compassionate, community-based mental health support to children and adults in the Midwest region. This role involves mentoring, emotional support, life skills training, and personal care tailored to each client's needs.Essential Responsibilities:Offer supportive services including mentoring and emotional assistance.Complete accurate and timely documentation following organizational policies.Engage with clients positively and supportively.Collaborate with clinical staff to implement individualized treatment plans.Adhere to privacy and security regulations concerning Protected Health Information (PHI).Maintain professional communication with clients, team members, healthcare providers, and external agencies.Perform additional duties as assigned.Education and Experience:High school diploma or GED equivalent required.Must be at least 18 years old and at least three years older than the youth served.Licenses and Certifications:Current BLS/CPR certification from an approved provider within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation.Driver's license and auto insurance meeting regional requirements if driving is necessary.Successful completion of background checks including KBI, DCF, child and adult abuse registries, and motor vehicle screenings.Preferred Qualifications:Two years of experience working with adults or children in a health-related field.Experience in a state health department facility is a plus.Skills and Abilities:Strong organizational skills.Basic computer proficiency.Physical Requirements:Light work involving occasional lifting up to 25 lbs and frequent lifting up to 10 lbs.Standing or walking 11-25% of the workday.This position offers competitive pay, a generous benefits package, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals within the regional community.
