Watts & Associates is working discreetly with a national Am Law ranked full service firm with a recognized real estate practice seeking a mid to senior level Real Estate Associate to join its Los Angeles office on a hybrid basis.
This is a high impact role for a real estate lawyer who wants immediate involvement in sophisticated acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and complex financings for major developers, investors, and lenders. The position offers meaningful responsibility, direct partner access, and a credible platform for long term advancement within a growing national practice.

The Role
Lead and support complex commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions for institutional and private clients
Structure and document joint ventures, including negotiating equity, governance, and waterfall arrangements
Draft and negotiate mortgage and mezzanine loan documents and related security and intercreditor agreements
Coordinate due diligence, title and survey review, and closing mechanics across multi property and multistate portfolios
Work closely with partners and clients, taking substantive ownership and contributing to business development initiatives
Ideal Candidate Profile
The firm is seeking a mid to senior level Real Estate Associate with:
At least 4 years of transactional real estate experience from a sophisticated law firm environment
Hands on experience with acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and mortgage and mezzanine financing
Strong academic record from a law school ranked approximately in the top 50
Excellent drafting and communication skills, a collaborative approach, and comfort with in office presence 4 days weekly
$290,000 to $420,000 base salary, depending on experience
Performance based bonus opportunity
1,900 billable hour expectation with access to high quality work
