Hausen Law is one of the larger consumer bankruptcy practices in Ohio, filing 60-100 Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases every month across the Northern and Southern Districts. We're looking for an attorney to represent clients at 341 meetings and review Chapter 7 petitions before filing. Our intake, document, and petition teams handle the paperwork so you can focus on practicing law. Compensation:$80,000 - $100,000 yearly
Responsibilities:Represent clients at 341 meetings of creditors throughout Ohio and prepare each client for the trustee's questions
Review Chapter 7 petitions, schedules, and means test calculations for accuracy before filing
Identify issues early, such as undisclosed assets, transfers, or income problems, and work with the legal team to resolve them
Communicate professionally with trustees, creditors' counsel, and clients
Support Chapter 13 matters as needed, including hearings and motion practice
Follow firm procedures and use MyCase to keep a high-volume caseload on track
Qualifications:Licensed and in good standing with the Supreme Court of Ohio
Admitted, or able to become admitted, to the Northern and/or Southern District of Ohio
Consumer bankruptcy experience preferred; newer attorneys with a strong interest in bankruptcy are encouraged to apply
Confident speaking in front of trustees and composed when clients give unexpected answers
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage a steady daily workload
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to court hearings across Ohio when needed
