Job description
A well-established litigation practice in the Houston area is seeking an Insurance Defense Attorney to join a growing team. This is a strong opportunity for a litigator who wants a steady, high-volume caseload with meaningful earning potential and room to advance.
Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters from intake through resolution, including bodily injury, premises liability, and general negligence claims
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and other litigation documents
Take and defend depositions; appear at hearings, mediations, and trials as needed
Communicate regularly with insurance carrier clients and adjusters on case strategy, exposure, and settlement value
Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to manage deadlines and case files efficiently
Evaluate cases for liability and litigation strategy
Qualifications
Licensed to practice law in Texas (active, good standing) - required
2-10+ years of litigation experience; insurance defense experience strongly preferred (partner-level candidates with 10+ years also welcome to apply)
Strong writing, research, and case management skills
Comfortable working directly with insurance carrier clients and adjusters
Ability to manage a moderate-to-high volume caseload independently

Competitive salary: $125,000-$225,000/year (commensurate with experience level)
