A nationally recognized litigation practice is seeking a Patent Litigation Associate with 3+ years of experience to join its intellectual property and litigation platform.
This is an opportunity for a patent litigator who wants to work on complex infringement disputes while taking meaningful responsibility rather than remaining on the sidelines.
What You’ll Do
You’ll work across the litigation lifecycle, including:
Representing clients in complex patent infringement disputes
Drafting pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, and claim construction materials
Conducting legal and technical research
Developing strategies involving infringement, validity, enforceability, and damages
Managing discovery, document review, and production
Taking and participating in depositions
Handling expert discovery and coordinating with technical experts
Assisting with Markman hearings and IPR proceedings
Working on dispositive motions, trial preparation, and appeals
Collaborating directly with clients, inventors, experts, and litigation teams
What We’re Looking For
3+ years of patent litigation experience
J.D. from an accredited law school
Active California State Bar admission
Strong patent infringement litigation experience
Ability to independently manage cases
Strong legal writing, analytical, and communication skills
Meaningful deposition and court appearance experience
Technical fluency
Experience with Markman hearings, IPRs, dispositive motions, or trial preparation is preferred
The Environment

The schedule is generally 4 days in the office and 1 day remote, with some flexibility.
Compensation & Benefits
BASE COMPENSATION RANGE - $225,000 to $265,000 with performance bonus eligibility and structured bonus thresholds at 1920 and 2100 hours.
