Job description
Help improve AI-narrated audiobooks by evaluating how natural, accurate, and engaging they sound to a US or North American English listener. This role combines the perspective of an avid audiobook fan with careful audio review to identify narration issues that affect the listening experience.
Key Responsibilities Listen to English AI-narrated audiobooks and assess narration quality, accuracy, naturalness, and overall enjoyment.
Identify and document skipped, added, or mispronounced words; incorrectly read numbers; wrongly expanded abbreviations; unnatural phrasing or intonation; and audio glitches or artifacts.
Classify each issue and mark its precise location using review tools.
Evaluate overall listener satisfaction and note where narration feels smooth or disrupts the experience.
Maintain focused, accurate review work across extended listening sessions.
Qualifications Native or near-native fluency in US or North American English.
Regular audiobook listening experience and a strong sense of what makes narration enjoyable.
Clear written and spoken English communication skills.
Experience in annotation, labeling, transcription, proofreading, linguistics, or another detail-oriented review discipline.
A patient, discerning ear and the ability to sustain accuracy during long audio sessions.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with AI training data, model evaluation, or audio quality assurance annotation.
Background in language, editing, voice, or audio production.
Work Terms Remote, part-time hourly role.
Approximately 20 hours per week, or about 4 hours per day.
Applicants may be based anywhere, with preference for candidates living in a region where English is natively spoken.
Compensation 20 to 25 per hour.
