Job description
Step into an enriching opportunity to support students' hearing and communication needs as an experienced Audiologist in a local school setting. In this contract role near Davis, CA, you'll work closely with educators, support staff, and families to assess, diagnose, and manage hearing disorders, making a meaningful difference in children's educational journeys.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate:
Current state licensure as an Audiologist
Previous experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred
Proficiency in conducting hearing screenings, evaluations, and fittings for assistive listening devices
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Commitment to ongoing professional growth
As a vital member of the educational support team, your daily responsibilities will include: Conducting comprehensive audiological assessments and interpreting results for students
Recommending and fitting appropriate assistive listening devices
Developing and implementing individualized care plans in collaboration with IEP teams
Providing consultative support and guidance to teachers, staff, and families
Participating in student progress reviews and contributing to educational planning
Maintaining thorough documentation in accordance with regulatory and district standards
