Job description
Step into a unique contract opportunity for an experienced Audiologist to make a meaningful impact within the educational community. This short-term assignment involves conducting an Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE) focused on auditory processing for a school-aged student. Qualifications:
Current, active Illinois Audiologist License
Experience with auditory processing assessments and Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs) is highly desirable
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with educational and healthcare staff
Familiarity with school-based evaluation protocols preferred
Ability to conduct thorough, professional assessments and report findings clearly
Responsibilities: Perform a comprehensive evaluation of auditory processing for a designated student
Coordinate closely with the on-site nurse to gather relevant background and contextual information
Complete all assessment documentation and submit a detailed, timely report
Ensure evaluation meets all standards for educational assessments and complies with school/district requirements
Engage professionally and courteously with staff and students
