Job description
Make an impact supporting students in the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) population through flexible, collaborative contract work as an audiologist in the Shawnee, KS area. This full-time role spans now through May 2027, with the opportunity to advise if you need reduced hours. You'll play a vital role across multiple campuses, working directly with Pre-K through 12th grade students to help them thrive in their educational environments.
Key Qualifications:
Active, valid audiology license to practice in Kansas
Master's or doctoral degree in audiology
Credential from the Kansas Board of Hearing Aid Examiners (or relevant state credentialing agency)
Experience working with DHH students-from Pre-K to high school-a plus
Strong ability to conduct comprehensive audiology reports, consultations, and staff feedback
Effective communicator, comfortable providing support and expertise to both students and school staff
Comfortable traveling to multiple school sites as needed
Primary Responsibilities: Assess and address the audiological needs of DHH students (Pre-K through 12th)
Conduct thorough evaluations and write clear, actionable reports
Consult regularly with instructional staff, offering strategies and feedback to support student success
Prioritize services for the DHH student population; Pre-K caseload currently includes nine students, with additional caseload details provided during the interview
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary educational team and update service plans as needed
