Audiologist (School-Based)
Location : Burlington & Ottumwa, IA
Job Type: Full-Time (Open to Part-Time)
Practice Setting: School-Based / Early Intervention (Birth to Age 3)
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (194-Day School Contract)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Audiologist to provide hearing screenings, diagnostic evaluations, and ongoing support for children in a school-based setting. This role focuses on early detection, intervention, and collaboration with families, educators, and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct hearing screenings for early identification of hearing loss
Perform diagnostic and rehabilitative audiological evaluations
Coordinate care and provide follow-up with families and healthcare teams
Participate in Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EDHI) programs
Recommend, maintain, and troubleshoot assistive listening devices
Communicate hearing status to school personnel and clinical teams
Supervise audio metrists per licensure requirements
Maintain equipment calibration and accurate documentation
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, FERPA, and regulatory standards
Qualifications:
Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) or equivalent
Audiologist Endorsement required
Eligible for or holding Professional Service License
Open to new graduates
Strong knowledge of pediatric audiology and hearing care
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Certifications:
Audiologist Endorsement (required)
State Licensure (required or eligible)
