Job description
At Armstrong, Backus & Co., you will gain opportunities for professional advancement and increased industry experience through interaction with a wide-ranging client base, as well as exposure to audit issues that will challenge your abilities. In the audit associate position, you will handle the technical preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and general ledger entries in addition to the analytical assessment of various information and options. As a valued team member, you will take ownership in the entire client process, including planning, performing, and conclusion of your assigned project. This position involves some interaction with clients, the ability to foster positive relations within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and exposure to technical issues that will challenge your abilities.
The Audit Associate is exposed to a variety of opportunities, clients, and engagements. There is significant opportunity for advancement in this role.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or related field - Minimum 3.0 GPA
Pursuit of CPA certification
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft office suite
Confident, self directed, goal oriented
Motivated to work in a fast-paced environment
Client service focused
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as an effective member of a team
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in DAS, IDEA, Quickbooks
0-3 year's public accounting experience
