Job description
Job TitleAudits and reconciles paper and electronic records from received tissue. Investigates and resolves discrepancies. Scans recovery paperwork from incoming donors.Essential FunctionsAudits and reconciles paper and electronic records daily.Investigates and resolves discrepancies.Scans all recovery paperwork into appropriate databaseTracks documentation errors and identifies trends.Audits and reconciles other processes and records as assigned.Participates and assists with process improvements and creating and maintaining policies, work instructions, job aids, and nonconformance documentation.Performs other duties as assigned.Minimum RequirementsEducation and/or Experience:High School Diploma or EquivalentWork Environment and Physical ActivitiesCommunicate effectively with internal and external customersOrganize records and utilize critical thinking skills to perform review and assessment of those records.Work in a fast-paced environment and juggle completing tasks & demandsBasic computer literacyUtilize solid problem-solving, decision-making skills and strong attention to detailMaintain focus with a high attention to detailMust be able to meet the required physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation.Desired QualificationsAssociate degree from an accredited college preferred.Certified Tissue Bank Specialist (CTBS) preferred. Familiarity with FDA and AATB regulations and standards.Familiarity with Medical terminology.
