Authorizations CoordinatorSafeRide Health is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused Authorizations Coordinator to join our Travel Operations team. In this role, you will manage end-to-end travel logistics for members traveling for medical care, ensuring a smooth, supportive, and dignified experience. You'll be the primary point of contact for members, health plans, and vendors—balancing accuracy, efficiency, and empathy in every interaction.Key ResponsibilitiesAuthorization ManagementVerify and document health plan travel authorizations, request and secure pre-approvals, and confirm details with medical facilities.Member SupportProvide clear, compassionate communications about authorizations, approved providers, and denials.Deliver timely documentation to both members and health plans.Health Plan RelationsBuild and maintain positive partnerships with approval teams at each Health PlanData & ReportingMaintain accurate, detailed records in alignment with compliance requirements.Productivity & QualityMeet departmental performance standards while maintaining exceptional service quality and member satisfaction.FlexibilityAdapt to changes in travel schedules and unforeseen circumstances while ensuring members' needs remain the priority.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.1+ year experience in Authorization coordination or similar logistics-based role.1+ year experience in a high-volume inbound call center or customer service environment.Strong data entry skills; ability to manage high call volume and multitask in a fast-paced setting.Knowledge of cost tracking, budgeting, or service expense management.Typing speed of at least 35 WPM.Preferred QualificationsSome college coursework or degree in hospitality, business, or related field.Familiarity with Medicaid NEMT guidelines.Mindset and Values We're Looking ForStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills under pressure.High emotional intelligence and empathy when supporting vulnerable populations.Excellent communication (verbal and written) across phone, email, and documentation.Ability to work independently and collaboratively with health plans, vendors, and internal teams.Cultural competence and sensitivity in working with diverse populations.Strong organizational skills with ability to meet deadlines consistently.About Us:SafeRide Health is a technology and services company dedicated to reducing barriers to care by improving the delivery of non-emergency medical transportation to people across America.
