ABA Authorization SpecialistJoin our team and help change a child's life! We are currently seeking an ABA Authorization Specialist for a hybrid or remote role with SpringHealth Behavioral.The ideal candidate will:Be familiar with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) service deliveryHave experience with insurance authorizations, referrals, intake coordination, or related administrative functionsBe highly organized and detail-orientedDemonstrate strong communication and customer service skillsBe able to effectively prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environmentWork independently while collaborating with remote and clinic-based team membersThis position plays a critical role in supporting our clients, families, and clinical teams while helping ensure efficient access to services.Responsibilities include:Answer telephones and provide excellent customer service to our professional staff and insurance representativesRun and utilize computer reports regularlyObserve confidentiality and safeguard all patient related informationProvide accurate, complete updates to Agency management on status of authorizations for all patients requiring treatment authorizationEnsures authorization is obtained and tracked for all patients whose insurance requires pre-authorizationIs responsible for seeing that objectives are implemented, follows, and promotes agency policies and proceduresEnsure all authorization requests are documented clearlyParticipate in the orientation and education of other employees as relates to Authorization departmentNotifies Supervisor of problems in a timely manner and works to help provide solutionsCompletes ongoing education requirements and demonstrates ongoing competency in required areasOther duties as assignedQualifications include:High school graduate or GEDMinimum of one year of experience in Health Care billing and/or authorization practicesGeneral knowledge of the framework, organization, and function of home careSound knowledge of health care operations and third-party reimbursementProficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer) with the ability to learn industry specific software applicationsSolid organizational skills, thoroughness, and a keen attention to detail with the ability to multi-task while prioritizing effectivelyAbility to work independently and in a team environmentExcellent, oral, written, and interpersonal communication skillsProfessional appearance and demeanorAbout our Line of Business:SpringHealth Behavioral Health and Integrated Care, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, offers a holistic approach and integrated care for people with cognitive, developmental, or intellectual disabilities who often need additional resources.
