Authorized Security OfficerSpringdale, WA $24,219 - $34,099 a yearJoin a dedicated team focused on maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, visitors, and vendors across a regional healthcare district in the Pacific Northwest. This role involves conducting thorough security rounds both inside and outside the facility, acting as a first responder to incidents, and providing exceptional customer service with clear communication across departments.Essential ResponsibilitiesConduct regular patrols on foot or by vehicle to monitor assigned areas, ensuring safety and security.Maintain a visible presence throughout the facility's interior and exterior to deter potential security issues.Serve as a liaison and public relations representative, addressing security and safety concerns with patients, visitors, and staff.Respond promptly to calls for assistance and collaborate with medical personnel, law enforcement, firefighters, and management.Inspect doors, windows, and other access points to confirm they are secure and intact.Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Basic computer proficiency.Valid driver's license mandatory.Completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six months of hire.One to three years of experience in law enforcement or security, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Required training includes HIPAA, Restraint Training, and Emergency Code Training within six months.Preferred QualificationsIAHSS Basic Security Officer certification.Previous security experience in a healthcare setting.Healthcare-focused de-escalation training such as AVADE or CPI.Professional ExpectationsAdhere to all regulatory requirements and organizational policies.Demonstrate punctuality and reliability in attendance and task completion.Communicate courteously and respectfully with patients, guests, and staff.Uphold the mission, ethics, and goals of the healthcare district.Compensation and BenefitsCompensation starts between the beginning and midpoint of the salary range based on qualifications and experience, with annual incremental increases.
