Autism-Focused Caregiver OpportunitySYNERGY HomeCare of Lee-Pontotoc County is seeking compassionate, patient, and dependable caregivers to support autistic adults in living safe, meaningful, and more independent lives.We're looking for caregivers who understand that every person with autism is unique. This role is about building trust, respecting individual preferences, supporting communication, and creating a comfortable environment where each client can be themselves.What You'll DoAs an autism-focused caregiver, you may:Provide compassionate, one-on-one support to autistic adultsAssist with activities of daily living while encouraging independenceSupport clients with routines, transitions, and daily activitiesProvide companionship and meaningful engagement based on each client's interestsEncourage communication and self-advocacy in ways that work for the individualAssist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, and community activitiesHelp maintain a safe, calm, and supportive environmentRecognize and respect sensory preferences and individual needsFollow each client's personalized care plan and established routinesCommunicate with families and the care team regarding client needs and progressThe Caregiver We're Looking ForYou may be a great fit if you are:Patient, compassionate, and understandingComfortable supporting autistic adults with varying abilities and needsRespectful of neurodiversity and individual differencesDependable and consistentA good listener and clear communicatorComfortable following routines while remaining flexible when needs changePassionate about helping people build confidence and independenceWilling to learn and participate in ongoing trainingExperience working with autism, developmental disabilities, special education, behavioral support, direct support, or caregiving a caring attitude and willingness to learn are just as important is required.Why Join SYNERGY HomeCare of Lee-Pontotoc County?We value the people who care for others.
