nJob Description:
nAuto Glass Technicians for Glass America replace broken or pitted windshields and window glass in motor vehicles.
nPRINCIPLE FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
n*Including but not limited to:
nnnInstalls auto glass and other auto glass products in-shop or on a mobile basis.
n
nnUtilizes the proper tools and techniques to ensure efficient, timely, and quality installation service for Glass America customers.
n
nnEnsures required paperwork is completed and turned in to the appropriate person or location.
n
nnMaintains a safe and acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy.
n
nnMay perform auto glass repairs as needed.
n
nnUtilizes the proper tools and techniques to ensure efficient, timely, and quality installation service for Glass America customers.
n
nnEnsures required paperwork is completed and turned in to the appropriate person or location.
n
nnLoad glass in the truck as needed.
n
nnI mmediately follow up with the Glass Manager on any problems that arise in the installation of the glass.
n
nnMaintain high levels of quality control.
n
nnProvide excellence in customer service.
n
nnMaintains a safe and acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy.
n
nnEnsure that all needed equipment is operating properly.
n
nnImmediately report any accident/incident to the Glass Manager.
n
nnComply with all Company policies and procedures as outlined in the employee handbook.
n
nnMaintain a good rapport with all supervisors and co-workers.
n
n nEDUCATION/QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE :
nnnHigh School Diploma or GED preferred.
n
nn4-6 years of related work experience is required.
n
n nSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Position requires no supervision of staff.
nSKILLS/ABILITIES:
nnnMust possess a valid driver’s license.
n
nnMust be at least 18 years of age.
n
nnMust be able stand for long periods of time in the installation of glass.
n
nnMust be able to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
n
nnMust be able to use hands efficiently in handling glass.
n
nnMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
n
nnMechanical aptitude and the skill to operate hand and power tools and equipment
n
