Gas Engine Technician/Mechanic – Lyndhurst, VA
Amerit Fleet Solutions, a leader in fleet maintenance across the U.S., is hiring a skilled Gas Engine Technician/Mechanic to join our team in Lyndhurst, VA. Pay & Schedule
Pay: $25.00 – $35.00/hour (based on experience) Pay Frequency: Weekly pay – every Friday Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

What You'll Do
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on medium to heavy duty fleet vehicles
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards
Accurately document repairs and complete work orders
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including your tools and equipment
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support fleet operations
What We're Looking For
1+ years' of hands-on experience performing gas engine vehicle maintenance and repairs
Diagnose and repair engine, electrical, fuel, ignition, and cooling systems
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Valid driver's license
Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position (detailed below)
Must be eligible to pass standard pre-employment screenings, including drug screen and DOT physical (if required)
Working Conditions
This role involves working in a mobile and or shop environment that may include exposure to dust, diesel fumes, noise, and mechanical irritants such as oils and greases. Technicians must be able to perform essential functions that include lifting heavy objects, accessing tight spaces, and bending, stooping, crouching, or crawling as needed to complete repairs.
