Automatic Door Installer – Deliver Precision Commercial Installations with MacKenzie Door CompanyJob Overview:Company: MacKenzie Door CompanySalary/Pay Rate: $28 to $35 per hour (based on experience)Location: North Bergen, NJJob/Employment Type: Full TimeProject Scope: Commercial and Industrial ConstructionMandatory Licences & Certifications: Valid Driver's LicenseThe Opportunity:You will drive quality field installations of automatic door operating systems across commercial and industrial job sites. Joining a supportive, collaborative team, you will have the platform to build a rewarding career with opportunities to learn, grow, and make a meaningful daily impact.How You Will Make an Impact:Install automatic door operating equipment along with related storefront materials and structural hardware.Read and interpret blueprints accurately to execute site installations according to technical specifications.Measure dimensions precisely with a tape measure and calculate necessary fractional adjustments.Apply basic electrical and electronic concepts to safely connect, test, and commission door operating systems.Operate standard power tools safely and efficiently while executing field installation duties.Work collaboratively with field teams while maintaining a neat, personal, and professional appearance.Complete accurate field paperwork summarizing work performed, progress, and daily timekeeping.Required Qualifications & Experience:Minimum of 3 years of related work experience in construction or mechanical field installation.High School Diploma or GED equivalent.Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record (MVR report required).Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and perform basic trade math including fractions.Proven experience with safe power tool operation and basic electrical concepts.Physical capability to lift and carry equipment weighing between 75 to 100 lbs.Preferred Qualifications & Experience:Prior experience installing door frames, windows, or working in glazing and carpentry.Previous experience in electrical, automotive, or HVAC trade fields.Current AAADM certification or OSHA safety certifications (e.g., OSHA 10, Fall Protection, Lift operations).Compensation & Benefits:Prevailing wage project opportunities with weekly pay cycles and overtime potential.Comprehensive medical insurance coverage for health and wellness.Paid time off including holidays, vacation days, and sick leave.Access to manufacturer training, technical certifications, and OSHA safety courses.Company vehicle, fuel card, professional tools, and work uniforms provided.About Us:MacKenzie Door Company specializes in commercial and industrial door solutions, operating on the belief that our employees deserve respect and a supportive workplace.
