Automatic Door TechnicianLane Valente Industries is a leading international construction and facility maintenance company with offices throughout the U.S. and Canada. We have a strong in-house group of field technicians that services top U.S. corporations and are supported by top-notch managers in our offices. We are always looking for talented people driven to be highly productive members of the team with an emphasis on integrity and learning.Tradesperson must have knowledge and/or experience with the following skills:PROFICIENT KNOWLEDGE:Carpentry - partition framing metal/wood studs, installation of basic cabinetry/countertops, installation of doors/windowPainting - interior & exteriorFlooring - installation of VCT, LVT, tile, carpet squares and cove baseBASIC KNOWLEDGE:Plumbing - replacement/installation of sinks, faucets, toilets and basic drainage and water lines (licensed plumbers encouraged to apply)Electrical - replacement installation of light fixtures, switches and outlets, capable of basic data connections and able to diagnose minor electrical problems (licensed electricians encouraged to apply)HVAC - knowledge of refrigeration, PM Service callsESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Install door frames, rails, steel rolling curtains, electronic-eye mechanisms, and electric door openers and closers, using power tools, hand tools, and electronic test equipment.Repairing and maintaining mechanical equipment. Servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment.Commercial renovations/buildoutsBasic computer skillsAbility to follow OSHA requirementsPresentable and possess the ability to communicate with customers to build relationshipsDetailed when it comes to repairs made, including but not limited to measurements, pictures, recommendations for repairs and quotesAbility to work overtime and/or on-call as workload and emergency issues dictateJOB REQUIREMENTS:Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction or commercial maintenance.High School Graduate or G.E.D. equivalent.Applicant must have reliable transportation.Valid state motor vehicle operator's license & clear driving record to meet Company policy.Willing and able to travel and work overnight shifts throughout the United States when needed.Supply basic construction hand tools.OSHA 10hr or the completion of OSHA 10hr within 3 months of employment (paid by employer)BENEFITS OFFERED:Medical InsuranceDental InsurancePaid Vacations401(k) retirement plan with generous company matchCompany paid travel & per diem
